Here's some description for first-timers!!!
Wealth, fame, and power. One man had acquired all of this: The Pirate King, Gold Roger. Before his execution, his final words drove people to the seas. "My treasure? If you want it, you can have it. Look for it, I have left everything there!" Men, chasing their dreams, headed towards the Grand Line. The world entered a Great Pirate Age, and with it came much turmoil and strife. Now, 22 years later, one young man, Monkey D. Luffy, is determined to find the legendary treasure, One Piece, and become the next Pirate King. That is Luffy's dream, and he has decided to follow that path, even if he dies fighting for it. Simple-minded and good-natured, Luffy's adventures lead him to some unlikely friends, and his pirate crew begins to grow. A small crew, of which each member has his or her own dreams and ambitions, the Straw Hat Pirates set sail for adventure. Each new island brings surprise, adventure, a few good laughs, and usually a fight for their lives. As they get gradually closer to One Piece, the level of danger drastically increases, and so too does the excitement.
